    Going to Small Claims
    Hello,
I breed boxers and sold a puppy to a young couple. They had called me 2 weeks later saying the puppy was soiling in her cage and they had to bathe her 2 times a day, I offered to take her back since she wasn't gone so long but they called me 2 days later and refused saying they were just going to put plastic crates in her cage to make it smaller. I suggested putting the crate in their bedroom so she could see them. 2 months later they called me saying that she is uncontrollable and still soilling and someone broke in their apt. and stole all there money and their rent money so they also couldn't afford her. In my contract they signed, it states that if at anytime in the puppies life they get rid of her, I get the option to have her returned to me with no refund.
I was camping at the time so I met the lady halfway. When we got there she took the dog out and she peed all over the lady.. he he... she deserved it. She then took off the collar, which I was upset about since I was at camp. And handed me the akc papers. And tried to give me her contract which I told her to keep. She then asked if she would get any money and I showed her where it states no refund. I did tell her if I do get anything I would give them the money minus expenses. Well when I brought the puppy to camp she immediately viciously attacked my full grown boxers. She was hyper, not housebroken, aggressive and they never took her to a vet or had any vaccines besides the one I gave her. By four months she should have had them all. I called them and told them they would only probably get 200. For her since she has no vaccinations and isn't housebroken and is aggressive and hyper. They said no we want 500. Well I said no she won't sell for that.
So they are now taking me to small claims and saying it's because I was only suppose to be training her.? Do you think the judge will buy that lie? I mean I even was given her akc papers back. Why would they do that if I was only training her for a couple days?
    Thanks for any feedback.

I think your story would probably pass the test in court.

I must say though, nothing is ever guaranteed, especially in court, where everything is left to the Judges opinion.

Just as there are weird customers, there are also weird judges, hopefully, you won't get one of them.

You should be OK in court. I see nothing here that indicates your had a guarantee or money back refund policy. If they want more than $200 they should try to sell her on their own to find her true market worth. 99 out of 100 judges would ubderstand puppiues are not expected to be trained.
