Defamation of character
My mother called CPS on me years ago, they showed up checked on the kids and our house, gave me a drug test and told me as long as the drug test comes back negative I would never have to see them again. It did of course come back negative. I moved out of state to get away from her and all the drama that she brings and now she told me she was in contact with CPS again for once again completely unfounded reasons. I have a copy of the e-mail she sent the first time with her name and her business name on it. Can I sue her for defamation of character and for how much? Also can I sue her business?
