    Car payment disaster
My boyfriend of a year worked at a car dealership and helped me get rid of my car. When I got to his dealership he had arranged for a beautiful but very expensive car. When we first spoke of what car I could afford I told him I did not want to spend more than $400. To my surprise the new car payment would be $700. I was madly in love and thought he was as well. He convinced me to get the car on the premise that he would pay the difference each month. We broke up three months later and he never helped me out again. I met several times with him to discuss the situation and he told me I did not behave and therefore he would not help. It has been over a year and half and I have been struggling to make the payments. Is there anything I can do?

Not unless his name is on the title and loan, or unless you had him sign something that says he would make the payments with you. Otherwise, you're going to have to foot the entire bill. You listened to your heart and not your head. Unfortunately, you learned the very hard way that life can't be lived like that. The only thing I think you could maybe do is trade it in for a cheaper vehicle.

Did you both sign for it or was it only you? If you signed for it solely then you are going to be held solely responsible for repaying the loan. As the previous poster said, your best bet is probably to trade it in for a less expensive vehicle.
