I would like to know what to charge per square foot to prime and to finish coat new drywall?

I am bidding to paint interior walls and ceilings in a new house. One coat primer and one coat finish. Both coats will be sprayed and backrolled. What is an average rate to charge per foot for each coat?

    Hi, angler1953!

I just merged your two questions together, that you had placed as answers to someone else's question that was pretty old. This place doesn't work the same way that a chat room does. If a person wants to post a new question that's not in any way an answer to the question that is posted at the top of the page, then it's best to be starting a new thread with the new question.

Now, concerning your question, I have a couple of questions for you. How you answer them will help us to answer you the best here.

How much painting and drywalling experience have you already had? Also, where is your business located, please?

One of the things that I do for a living is that I do painting and drywall.

    Thanks!

    Hi, Angler1953!
Priming and painting by the square foot works well on floors, its fast & easy. 1st new construction residential, if your only painting drywall that's one thing however, if there are many items (windows, doors, trim etc) to paint you need to price each one separately. 2 You need to take into consideration the height of the rooms. 3 Production rates change when colors are different from walls & ceilings. 4 Sheens will make a difference and finally the builder quality will make a huge difference. I would take some time and be sure you know what your able to paint and what material costs will be and don't forget overhead/profit.
    Good luck,
