Does a convicted felon need to be bonded for auto repair operating as an LLC?
I have a friend who will soon be released from prison and is a convicted felon. He plans to open an auto repair shop as an LLC and wants to know if he will need to be bonded.

    Hello j:

There's no REQUIREMENT that he be bonded. His customers are the only ones who would care.. But, if he's going to have a shop, his insurance will cover any worries his customers might have.

So, no. He won't need a bond.
