    Permanent skin lightening without surgery
I wanted to ask is there a permanent skin lightening solution without surgery. I am an Indian male in the Indian Television industry but see the racism here being a brown race ourselves they want only fair skinned ones for good roles although I am talented and formally trained. I wanted to know how the actors who started with dark skin have become fair without even make up .Is there a botox treatment for fairness without any side effects. Please suggest. I am not very dark but dark wheatish and wish to be fair.

Botox will NOT LIGHTEN YOU... But may make you PINKER>...

If your dark wheatish your not the look they want on Indian television... Now that you mention it I have been on Indian TV as a singer in the past and acted in a small ad jingle on zoom tvs launch as a teenager... I don't want to talk about it in detail but yes colour does matter...

And although I was treated pretty well for my lighter sort of skin plus I'm north indian.. the north indians whiter than I was were treated like gods.. everyone would praise them as if they are angels that walk the earth

I know how you feel... if your on TV... using anything that can be unpredictable is out of the question...

    So monobenzone is out...

You could try hydroquinone... but mate.. rememmber... with the humidity around mumbai and lokhandwala where I presume most of the auditions happen apart from Lower parel... you will end up with exogenous ochronosis... in the long run..

The weather is simply toooo hot.. unless you completely avoid the sun and just rush to auditions etc.

The product would probably not work... but you could give it a shot.. I don't know hwat else could I suggest! I know the weather in india... maybe retin a can work.. that's about it

Your saying they humidity can increase the risk of exogenous ochronosis when using Hq? This is new to me. Or just using Hq for long periods?

Well golden girl there is no research on this.. its my assumption...

I know that Hq has worked for people in cold countries like uk us and others

But people who stay in africa and southern parts of india etc.. Actually end up with pigmenetation disorders because of using hq...

And the funny part is when these races use it in cooler climates it works for them...

I am basing my thought process on various testimonials in this case.. I could be completely wrong ! Don't take my word for it in this case at least...

You got that right Mepk. I like to hear other's opinions and question every detail when it comes to skin lightening now as well as do my own research that has been documented and published by doctors, scientific research articles, and tests that were given (in vivo & in vitro). I find this to be so vital in order to avoid any negative effects, as I'm sure many of us has had at least once if not more when lightening the skin. And when some retailers or whomever may claim information that defers from what is scientifically found as evident and I do my best to become aware of it. Because many retailers will say just about anything just to make a sale, as they could care less about their consumers and take the risk of misinforming others and it becomes a never-ending cycle of trying to find what actually works and what does not. Just as the glutathione pills which is a hoax and proven with scientific data that it is false for the skin to receive the side effect of lightened skin by taking oral glutathione. Studying skin lightening right down to the very science is so important, and now has become second nature for me to do.

I enjoy sharing whatever I have learned with everyone and try to provide as much data and links that I possibly can so that they can also become informed and research. Some may listen and check it out, and some may not.. If there's something that I am unfamilar with, I ask and then research for answers from validated sources only, as well as speak with dermatologists, doctors, chemists, retailers, and manufaturers by calling them, meeting with them, and emailing consistently for understanding. Because whatever we all may choose, it is so vital to not proceed with one eye closed, but to become as much aware as we possibly can so that we ALL can reach our goals... instead of trying to waste time with lame comical statements... I rather not be distracted..

Maybe it is possible that the heat and humidity can increase the possibility of exogenous ochronosis, as many South Africans and Carribeans who are using high amounts of hydroquinone for long periods. Some in the U.S. have also been reported. It was reported that people who produce more melanin are at greater risk of being diagnosed with exogenous ochronosis, and many companies in 3rd world countries also add steroids, mercury, and lead in their products which will only increase the risk of exogenous ochronosis. I would love to hear Lilgreg's opinion on this...

Well.. I think you shouldn't try to lighten your skin because light is not better.. My model is don't bleach enhance.. be truly satified... the concept of having lighter is problem in minority skin care and it really just anaglonised way of thinking.

I do not think lighter is better, I think all shades are beautiful and some of the most beautiful people I have ever seen had dark skin. But, I like how I am treated much better, not insulted but complimented, and even more job offers. I don't know everyone's experiences, but mine had been a complete 360 turn around. People also tan their skin, straighten their hair, dye their hair different colors, plastic surgery, etc etc... but at the end of the day it is those who lighten their skin that are questioned...

My ex husbad was dark, therefore one of my daughters is dark. Weird but I wished (prayed) for a dark child but hair like mine. Which I did have a dark baby! Her features are very european very sharp nose etc. But anyway I also believe that dark skin is beautiful. I myself just looks totally weird with dark skin just awful when I tan. Tricky because now I feel that she may not have it so easy growing up. When I was pregnant with her I had no ideal that you could actually bleach the skin. I was totally clueless of the ideal I just had seen different people that was very dark but had beautiful dark skin with an amazing glow. I just wanted my daughter to be dark as well. Now with the world being so cruial I feel that her only safeness is her features. :(

I understand completely So sexy. Whenever I picture how I want my kids to look (still waiting to have them) I had also always hoped that their complexions would be brown with my Ethiopian features and curly hair, I'm not full Ethiopian, just half, but in Ethiopia they come in all colors. And then I think how I like my complexion lighter, mainly because I feel I look nicer with a light brown complexion from when I was a kid. I wouldn't want my kids to go through too much discrimination nor belittled either, I notice a lot of colorism happens quite a bit in the communities who have different shades of brown skin. The darker you are the more challenging, I had went through this with my ex's sisters. They were brutal.

Girl it's so crazy my other kids are what they call highyellow. I would never do this because she is too young but I wish at times I could apply cream on her (Never). I teach her to love herself. I pray that she never decides to bleach. I think she has a beautiful complexion.

That is good Sosexy to uplift and encourage her. A few of my younger cousins wanted to know what I was using and ask me to get them some too, but I couldn't. My reasons to lighten are my own and I would rather for them to not, as they are still youg. I tell them to use sunblock, natural black soap, and shea butter to have a clear and scarless complexion.

My mother is hispanic and my father is African American. My features and skin tone are of my father more. I would say I am very light brown. My one daughter is so pale. I assume she takes more of my mothers side. However we know that Hispanics can be very dark.
