    Fair & Flawless
Hey everyone! I'm new to these boards. I used to reside in the U.S.A now I live in Canada with my mom and little brother.

    Anyway, here is my story:

I was thinking of buying a lightening creams for my body/face and came across Godiva products. I was pretty convinced about buying it at first until I realized a few days later the only people really giving good testomonies about the products were Asian (Phillipino). I however, am not Asian. SO while I was looking in to Godiva products I stumbled across a Godiva forum that suggested Fair & Flawless. I've been doing my reaseach on this site and it seems pretty good, the results. Everything looks professional and safe. And I'm glad it doesn't have any Hydoguen (something like that) or any other unsafe chemicals. But I still want a second opinion. I'm looking to buy VERY soon, like I would right at the moment but I want to know everyone else's opinion.

So? What do you all think? Does it really work? I'm not very much concerned about the price, I know I can afford it, I just want to know if it's worth my money. And if there IS anyone on these forums that have seen results how fast did it take you and can you please give a guess at how long the products last? (like how long the contents in the jar will last you. I've noticed they are all pretty small).

I'm REALLY not looking to become Michael Jackson white. More like, Rihanna Fenty. Like that kind of shade.

I heard the Custom mades are better but more expensive. If so, how much more expensive and how can I get it? And the results ARE permanent right? Like after I stop using it won't go back?

And just to make things clear, I'm not going to change my mind, I'm going to buy a skin lightening product no matter what anyone says, so please only if you have or know someone that's gotten good results from Fair & Flawless and how long it took you or them (and how much lighter) so I can get some reassurance.

    Please and thank you!

I can only tell you what I have read and heard. A few years ago a woman named Sorisha noridoo tried some f&f and really lightend her quite well, she later sold it under a different label called pure perfect but she charges like three times what fair and flawless charges. The problem is some customers complained it ruined their skin i.e. acne break outs, thinning of skin etc. so they reformulated it but it was not very affective and so it was reformulated a second time and so far it seems to be working. The results are not permanent; maintanence is needed. I once contacted them and was told sorisha used the colada hand and body cream, parfait, and I believe their gel. Once you have attained the color you want I believe you can just use it three times a week or so but remember when you are using these products it is imperitivethat you use sunblock with a spf of 50, 70 is better and exfoliate to help get rid of the deasd skin cells with the darker complexion faster.

Now I must tell you I have heard the customer service is horrble and sometimes they will evne hang up on you. There is some woman named allison who claims to have lightend ten shade s but she has no proof and seemed to get agitated when asked to show proof. All in all it does seem to work but it is not permanent; nothing is. The only thing permanent would be monobenzone which is used for vitiligo patients and is a skin depigmentation cream, which means after years of looking patchy you'll look albino; think michael jackson color.

One more thing, I believe the reason some have had thinning of the skin is a result of using too much or putting what is meant for the body on the face. This is because the skin on the face is thinner then the skin on the body.

Be aware the creams are expensive I believe there cheapest is 45 and it's a 4oz. Jar for the body.

And I wouldn't get the special formulated cream, I believe it cost 400 or 500 dollars

Anything that would need to be added should either be started in a new thread, or added to a more recent thread about the same subject. I appreciate that you are trying to help--but pulling old threads back up to the front of the queue means that more recent questions may not get answers.

Generally I do leave threads open if there has been a continuance of posts consistently (at least once a month or so) since the thread was started. In this case, though, the post previous to yours was nearly 3 years ago.

Better to just start a new thread in that case.
