    Belly button piercing
    Hi it's me again can I get it done with a gold earing because I'm alergic to silver and soe peopple have told me u can get it done with a gun

    You didn't need to start a new thread for this; you're asking basically the same question.

    Your piercing should be done with stainless steel/surgical steel, not silver. There is a difference.

    As answered in your other post, yes it can be done with a gun, but a needle is better. Most reputable piercers will use a needle.

    Again, are you underage and planning on doing this on your own, or are you planning on going to a professional?

    This is true.

    Your first months of a pericing should be sergical steel. Needles are preferred for naval pericings due to the high risk of infections using a gun.

    Additionally, by "infections", we aren't just talking about something you can take some antibiotics to get over. A gun can't be cleaned properly, which means things like AIDS. HIV, Hepatitis can be spread.

    A gun does not produce a clean cut hole-it punches a point through-this is usually the incorrect gauge for body jewellry anyway-a reasonable gauge should be 14, guns usually use a much finer gauge (for ear stud posts)
