Dog coughing and urinating
Hi, I have a 13 year old border collie cross. Over the past few months he has started urinating in the house even though he has just been out in the yard or for a very long walk. When he urinates it is not always in the same areas, he goes in different places.
He has also developed a cough which is very bad in mornings and it occurs occaisonally throughout the day. C Has anyone experienced this problem and if so can you help me? |

Not an expert but I would get him to a vet and get him checked out

Both problems could be from infections that antibiotics from the vet would clear up. He could also have a benign tumor the vet could remove. What may have worked for somebody else's dog might only delay the treatment your dog needs.

Paula, I agree with both posters above, especially on the possibilities labman has brought up. You need to bring your dog into to the vet for an examination. Bring in a urine sample as well so they can start with the easiest test and work from there. Good luck and if you get a chance, post back and let us know what the outcome is.
