    Wobbly fan
    A Hampton Bay fan on an eight foot extension has developed a wobble. How do I correct this?

    ... have come with a weight/balancing kit and instructions on how to best apply. If you don't have them, try to get a set where you purchased the fan. This assumes of course, the blades were not bent by hitting an object, which may require more than just adding the weights. Happened to a fan we had and it was necessary to buy a new one. Fans with extensions will tend to amplify a misbalance but can be corrected as well as those with little or no extension.
