    Child support
I live in NY and my daughters mother wants to raise my child support, will they take into consideration that I have a wife and another baby now?

No they won't really. It will be based on your income, her income and the percentage of time each of you have your daughter. If they considered wife and subsequent children then people could just have enough to eliminate child support all together. Here is an online child support estimator: New York Child Support Calculator - AllLaw.com

Most full formulas (as opposed to estimate calculators) do take number of dependents into some account, I believe. But as the previous poster stated, for the most part it is a percentage of each of your incomes.

Most states will not allow adjustments unless there is a significant change of circumstances. Have either of you had any large increase or decrease in income?

Your first born comes before any other child that you have & they base it on your income and a bunch of other things I hope you get it worked out. I went through it with my daughters father and whatnot so I know it can be stressful. I hope things go okay.

The forms that I am aware of are only concerning paying support for other children. They did not consider children who lived with you. Only children you actually had to send payment for... It may seem unfair however I'm guessing it's viewed that some of the expenses you pay for children living with you are expenses you would have anyway. That may not be correct logic however I did get a divorce/child support in NY. Be aware that you have child support until age 21 while kids are in school (even college) in that state. Some states end at 18. Cathy
