What to wear to college graduation.
    Hi

I am in a quandary about what to wear to a morning college graduation. I do not like dresses or skirts but would go with a skirt if I must. Is something lacy appropriate for morning with palazzo pants? I have a nice chocolate brown lacy overblouse and chocolate pants and brown shoes... I am not as you can tell a fashionable type person especially in my later years... :(

A dress or skirt is appropriate - you say you would go with a skirt. What about that lacy overblouse with a matching skirt and the brown shoes?

I was assuming the graduation robe would be covering what you wore. A lace collar like a crocheted lace would be quite nice.

You were right to assume it was the person graduating, but, I have done a bit more investigating and it seems that anything you would wear to church, wedding, or any solemn occasion is proper... I just do not attend many formal affairs so did not want to overdo or underdo but did not want to go out and buy anything unless necessary. More to give the grandson you might say LOL. Thanks for your input and interest. I feel better about what I am wearing just talking about it.

Anything you might wear to church is probably fine. A suit, a dress, a dressy slacks outfit - it would all be fine.
