    Laura... darling... it's been 5.

We've done everything we can, and can afford. Anything not covered by insurance, like fertility counseling and tests and such... we just can't afford. I've been tracking ovulation for 3 years, and we try not to stress about it and just enjoy... but after a while it gets to the point where you just can't.

Gah... don't mind me. Go back to happy baby thoughts, darn it!

Yes a year and sometimes a year and a half if birth control was involved prior to trying. Its easiest to just forget about (seems impossible, I know) but you know what I mean... stop trying so hard... it will happen. We took a nice romantic weekend away without any OPKs or HPTs or Thermometers or calendars and just relaxed and had fun... that was the ticket for us...

Honestly, usually when you give up on trying so hard. That is when it will happen. It will happen, I do believe it.

OK... disregard my previous post, I didn't realize you had been through all of that. Believe me I completely understand your situation though... I was a surrogate for my sister because she was told she could never carry full term. She suffered 7 miscarriages before giving up... and I suffered one last year and the waiting to start trying, and then the waiting for it to happen was hard... and that was only 8 months. IM sorry you have been through so much. Wish I had words to make it easier, but I know I don't.

    Syn - It's been 5 years?

So many times, I know people who reached the point you are, just throw their hands up in the air, and guess what happens then.? Yup.

But Syn I can't even imagine how the both of your hearts drop every month. The couple of times I thought I was, (we weren't trying - I was just late), my heart dropped.

I will keep you in my prayers Syn, don't you ever ever give up on anything. You may just have to take a different route, but give up? Sorry girl, that's not you.

Haha... I don't really know you well yet, but I agree with CBW, because she does. And might I add that I think it is amazing that you have continued smoke free with all the stress... I would have caved already. Stress and cigarettes are my enemies...

LOL... you guys miss the days when I'm begging everyone at work for a cigarette and they just laugh at me.

The main reason I quit smoking was to increase our chances of getting pregnant... so... it's a good reason NOT to start again.

Alka, I am really very happy for you! You'll have to keep us updated on everything that goes on with your pregnancy!

Of course... although I was a little upset of the cost of my prenatals... whew! Almost $1 a pill. I may end up switching to the walmart brand, but something tells me the prescribed ones are better... I will... We are so excited. Its about time we get another one that we can actually keep.

I've been taking folic acid and eating right (though too MUCH of what's right, really).

Working now on losing some of the weight I gained quitting smoking.

Darn I blinked and everything changed. Closing that thread was like the last visit to to my grandmother's house. I felt a sense of loss there. So many tears and laughter. So many happy memories. I'm positive we'll just pick up where we left off. I'm sure in no time we'll reach 1500 all over again. Maybe the next thread we can call it the 1500 branch society.
Syn, I agree with Joe and Heart, when you stop trying and just relax, then it'll happen.
We tried so hard to have number 2 without success. Then one night I stoppedd thinking about it, had a glass of asti and the next thing I knew 4 weeks later, I was pregnant.( the fact I almost threw up on a patient was a really good clue that I was.)
Angel, I applaud your effort in quitting caffiene and smoking. They are the 2 most hard things to quit. If you can quit both at once you're stronger than anyone I know. We'll all be rooting for you. The clothes basket ride will awaiting you. All goddesses in our realm will be here for support, laughter and a shoulder to cry on. Everyone here went above and beyond the call of friendship for me when my mother died march 30th2007. Their support and love was endearing. I love them all and feel blessed to call them friends. Our circle of friends that is getting bigger each day when people like you come and stay.
The prenatals in the vitamin shelf work just as the prescribed. Actually some were originally by prescription but are now over the counter.
Syn, I'm wondering when the bun is in the oven, are we going to be godmothers and Joe?

    Love,
