Yeah, it all depends on the opiate you are addicted to. In response to the above, I have seen some good results with soboxone treatment, as well as methadone. However, they have been clients who REALLY are committed to being clean, getting clean, and staying clean. Again, someone said this also... it's the long term treatment and therapy that is necessary. And sometimes, being addicted and using methadone to get high, some treatment centers will be cautious... so you need to be honest and tell them the truth about what you want, what you are willing to do, and choose a program that is more strict, to help benefit you and support you.
I know that withdrawal sucks... but you will need to go through it at some point. Whether in a residential detox center, or under doctors care... but even when you are weaning off methadone or soboxone, there will be slight withdrawal. So you need to work on your coping skills and motivation to get the life you want in the future!
