My heart feels like it is "gurgling"
In the past 3 months my heart "gurgles", literally.
Like when bubbles come up from the water .
The first time it happened I was walking up a hill after eating, the gurgling lasted a 20 min severely, then it kept up for 12 hours, then it was over.
Since that it happens about 10 times a week for short periods.
I did see a doctor, but I will now be going to another doctor to really get it checked.
It scares me bad and then the fear makes it worse, I have a minor panic attacks regularly.
    I am a man, 42, 350+ pounds,.
What can this be? Be gentle, because You will give me another episode?

    Heart
    Hi,
At 63 yrs old, I had scans and testing for my heart about 20 yrs ago. My heart skips a beat every so often. The best think about it, is knowing about it, and it's sometimes normal!
My MD (family doctor) at that time (retired now) caught it in an EKG test, and referred me to a heart specialist, 150 miles from where we live. It was worth it.
I have no idea what might cause this, and don't want to guess; neither want to guess if it's serious or not.
As you are doing, please see a heart specialist; your doctor should be able to refer you, if you need a referral.
It's the only way to have real "peace of mind", in knowing what it is, and what causes it.

Why in the heck have you waited so long?? Have you had any visits to the doctor lately? Please see a good doctor as soon as possible, Now, would be just about right... Before you go you should have a checklist to help the doctor make his/her diagnosis easier, the main one on the list of course is 'overweight' unless it's all muscle.. You will most likely need an EKG and a Pulmonary Function Test, which you can look up on any medical site like the Mayo Clinic - which is very good.

    1. Is there a history of high blood pressure?
2 Is there a history of asthma and/or bronchitis?
    3. Do you have a sedentary job, and don't exercise much?
    4. Have you had your cholesterol levels checked?
    5. Do you have chest pain, or just the 'gurgles'?
    6. Is there a history of anxiety or depression?
    7. Has there been a major change in your life?
    8. Is there a history of diabetes in your family?
    9. Are you allergic to anything, especially foods?
    10. Have you changed anything in your diet lately?

Wright down any other changes or family medical history too.
It's always good to be prepared for this as when you get there, you might forget the 'little' things that you think are not important.

I would also list the medications you are regularly taking so that the doctor can really be prepared to help you.

Good Luck and keep us posted.
