    second grade algebra product and sum
    OK so I know I'm going to seam pretty dumb but I really need help with a second grade algebra questions.
    The question is
    2 numbers have a product of 8 and a sum of 6 what are the numbers _______ & __________

    Could someone please help me with this.

    Something TIMES something is 8 and something PLUS something is 6.

    The answer is 2 and 4.
