So who decides energy policy for Clueless Joe
Another stranger than fiction;bang your head on the wall moment . It is a given that Joe hires weirdos and takes advice from them . To rehash them all takes too much time. It is also well known that Joe wants to kill American energy .

But this comes into conflict with his national security agenda. He creams his pants about leading NATO to war against Russia . This whole Ukraine fiasco gave the USA a golden opportunity . We have natural gas ;our strategic allies need it .

So it would make sense to build terminals so we can send natural gas to our allies . It is a freakiin win win . They can cut their dependency on Russian gas ......we export part of our century excess supply .

BUT Clueless Joe wants to hold his fragile coalition together for the 2024 elections . Part of that coalition is young enviro-wackos .

What to do ? What to do ? He called on one of the leading experts on the subject ........... sit down for this ............... he called on a 25 year old TikTok influences . (I kid you not )

A delay of many months could jeopardize the financing for CP2. Venture Global LNG, has other gas export terminals that have already run into equipment and shipping problems and legal disputes.
That’s exactly the hope of climate activists who launched a social media campaign last fall to urge Mr. Biden to reject CP2.
“We see CP2 as stopping the first fraction of the largest LNG build out to date,” said Alex Haraus, a 25-year-old Colorado social media influencer who has led a TikTok and Instagram campaign aimed at urging young voters to demand that Mr. Biden reject the project. His posts have received about 7 million views on TikTok and Instagram.
Among those who saw the posts were Ali Zaidi and John Podesta, senior advisers to Mr. Biden on climate policy. Mr. Podesta is also a veteran of climate advocacy and presidential campaigns. Mr. Haraus had a Zoom meeting with Mr. Zaidi this week and with Mr. Podesta last month to discuss the project, one of several meetings about CP2 between White House climate officials and environmental groups.

    I can't I can't

Climate activists “absolutely will reward or punish him on this decision,” Haraus told the Slimes .

Another Enviro-wacko activist group evidently successfully pressured the administration .

Climate Defiance on X: "Here we will share the letter we left John Podesta after the meeting. And yes, he has read it in full. (9/9) https://t.co/SMd3y96r3f" / X (twitter.com)

And of course the administration caved .

Even Dems are baffled over Clueless' pause on LNG . Ohio Dem Rep Tim Ryan posted on X that the halt was “a major political issue that the D’s have just put themselves squarely on the wrong side”.

Tim Ryan on X: "And there it is friends. A major policy and political issue that the D’s have just put themselves squarely on the wrong side. LNG has helped us totally displace coal & make major reductions in CO2. You’ll hear lots of this in NV and PA and MI and WI and AZ. Walked right into…" / X (twitter.com)

Pa's Senators John Fetterman and Bob Casey Jr (up for reelection this year ) made a joint statement disagreeing with the decision.

Casey and Fetterman split with Biden over natural gas plant pause (inquirer.com)

“Pennsylvania is an energy state. As the second largest natural gas-producing state, this industry has created good-paying energy jobs in towns and communities across the Commonwealth and has played a critical role in promoting U.S. energy independence,”

    Jobs
There is where the key to this decision lies. Clueless may be catering to the envirowackos . But why would he do something that so obviously hurts not only his constituency in swing states ;as well as allied nations ?

One theory that is not widely mentioned is that this is his way of putting " sanctions " on the State of Texas for bad behavior.

The CP Express pipeline will be 85.4 miles long (137.43km) and 48in in diameter. It will originate in Jasper County, Texas, and will feed natural gas to the CP2 LNG facility.

CP2 LNG Export Terminal, Louisiana, USA (offshore-technology.com)

You know this is a political decision because the pause only lasts through the year Once the election is over and Texas is suitably chastised (and all the other Repub state Guvs who signed on to the Texas defiance of the DHS ) then the project will proceed . But the delay could be devastating. These projects are based on long term commitments . Once investors are scared off it is unlikely they will return. . It becomes a big win for Russia and China.

The biggest irony is that LNG is a solution to greenhouse gas emissions . This move hurts the envirowacko's agenda.

It really is a puzzling decision. NG is the greenest of the carbon-based fuels and one which we have a LOT of. It would seem to be a win all around including in the area of foreign relations. It makes it appear the JB is listening to the most extreme elements of the greenies.

Really it is not so puzzling when you see the role the Podesta gang has played . They are a version of the Biden Crime Family. One is a policy maker ;the other uses the influence to make the family rich.

Yeah John Podesta is as environmentally wacko as JFKerry. Kerry already soaked the system for all it is worth (yes the Kerry Crime Family has obvious links to the Biden Crime Family in Kerry's son in law Christopher Heinz' business deals with Hunter )

So out goes JFKerry ;in comes John Podesta ;who's brother Tony is a corrupt lobbyist .
Why would Quid Pro Joe inexplicably undermine America's energy position in the world ? He did it because John Podesta pushed it. Quid can cloak his decision in a giveaway to the Green New Steal as bad as it is . But the real reason it was done was because Tony Podesta has long represented foreign energy interests .

Over the past decade, Tony Podesta’s client roster has included LNG group Golden Pass, which is co-owned by the state-run QatarEnergy, and the Bulgarian company Protos Energy, which reportedly hired him to work on LNG-related issues.
Since 2022, Tony Podesta’s firm has raked in over $1 million from Gemcorp, an investment fund that was barred from working on a Bulgarian LNG and energy development project due to the company’s links to Russia.
Russia Russia Russia. The Dems accuse Trump of colluding for business reasons while they rake in the Rubles . Meanwhile Putin is the big winner in the deal. American energy workers become unemployed while "sanctioned " Russia makes $billions

Makes sense that Quid would put a fellow traveler in corruption in charge of possibly the biggest slush fund ever created (I can't vouch for that because there is so much unaccounted for UN $$$)

Jake Sullivan hinted at that in his announcement that Podesta would take over for JFKerry

President Biden’s appointment of John Podesta to continue to lead our global climate efforts demonstrates the President’s steadfast commitment to tackling the climate crisis – and reflects his belief that we have not a moment to lose. John has played–and will continue to play—a lead role in restoring U.S. domestic leadership on climate, including leading the Administration’s implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act, the single largest investment to tackle climate change in history.
Statement from National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on John Podesta | The White House

Yeah lots of money to be plundered .

The corruption runs deep .Hard for Congress to do all those investigations that lead to nowhere . Too many crooks ;too little time
