DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is citing an "acute and immediate need" to waive dozens of federal laws to build a border wall in south Texas where illegal migration has surged. It's a sharp contrast to dismissals of the use of such barriers in the early days of the administration.

The administration had put a halt to new border wall construction in early 2021, after Biden had promised as a presidential candidate that there would "not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration." The administration said wall construction under the Trump administration was "just one example of the prior administration’s misplaced priorities and failure to manage migration in a safe, orderly and humane way."

Almost nothing shocks me about this administration. I expect the worse and they don't disappoint. But this after hours decision shocked me. Neither Clueless Joe and DHS boss Mayorkis made this announcement . They lobbed it and hopes no one is paying attention .

It would too easy to charge hypocrisy. In deciding to go ahead with building a wall in Texas these people who are destroying our economy in their utopian transition to the green agenda is going to waive 26 Federal Laws that either stopped or delayed Trump's wall construction .

So the latest version is that Clueless Joe says he has no choice but to build the wall. Not because it would stop the invasion , No he still doesn't think walls work However he is blaming Congress . He has asked them to defund the wall . But they haven't deallocated the $$$ for the wall from 2019. So he has no choice you see but to build it with the money already allocated to the project.

The obvious question is what took him so long then ?

Now Mayor Adams is begging NY Supreme Ct Justic Erika Edwards to end NYC's sanctuary city law called 'shelter in place' . He said the law should be void in an emergency. There has been a 159% increase of illegals into NYC since April 2022 .

Ummmm Mayor . The courts don't make the law. Why don't you sit down with the City Council and convince them that the law was a bad idea that could only lead to the crisis the city now faces. You could do that intstead of taking useless junkets to Mexico and Central America to try to convince illegals to stay home .
