The bulbs on each end of our new vanity light bar are not as bright. Why?
Just installed a new 6-light vanity bar in the bathroom. When I add the 5th and 6th bulbs to the bar those bulbs are not as bright (almost like a brown-out). Have changed out the bulbs and the problem only occurs with the 5th and 6th bulb, no matter what position in the bar. The bulbs are only 40 watt LEDs and max is 100 but obviously the 5th and 6th aren't getting enough juice. What's wrong? Pam

Start placing bulbs in the spots where they "brown out" and work backwards. What happens? Are you sure they are 40 watt LED's, they would be incredibly bright. Forty watt equivalent? Is that switch on a dimmer?

Try new bulbs for the browned out ones.

I've had 60 watt CFL bulbs in lamps for years but just yesterday put a 100 watt one next to a regular 75 watt one in 2 hanging fixtures in my kitchen. The 75 watt regular looks a lot brighter than the 100 watt (and yes I waited). I was never really convinced about the 60 watt ones either; they...
