I don't have an answer. I have a cat in the same situation. She had 1 kitten last night around 4pm, seemed to be in labor for a while then stopped. She is totally taking care of the kitten, eating & drinking. She likes me to lay w/ her in our closet, is very affectionate! We can still feel 1 moving & possibly 2. but no signs of labor. I am curious since each has a separate placenta, if the others are not quite ready to deliver. 1st kitten very strong & nursing like crazy. Our cat seems fine, but I don't want to risk her getting sick. We CANNOT afford to take her to vet, but she darted out of house about 2 months ago & didn't come back for almost 2 days,we couldn't find her anywhere. Now we're here. Please help. We CAN'T afford the vet bill!

If you cannot afford to call a vet then you have no business having any animals! You should definitely bring those cats to the HS including any other animals you have! This frustrates me so much when people have animals and don't have any idea what is needed to be an owner... if you can't afford to call a vet when you have an emergency then this means you don't have the money to keep their shots UTD, money for flea treatment or even deworming... etc! Surrender the animals so that they can be properly taken care of PLEASE! And please do not acquire any more animals until you are able to properly provide for them!! Good Luck!

My cat has had 4 kittens, and has no signs of being in labour any more. But yet we could still feel a bump we thought was moving 7 hours after the last kitten was born. We took her to the vets immediately but they said it was just poo. Later on she started panting and having contractions again but nothing came out. Any reason to worry?
