    Toilet (closet?) Flange
Hello plumbers... (I am NOT a plumber)

My toilet (closet?) flange is flush with the floor. It was not leaking but I went to replace toilet and one side of the PVC is all bent to and there's no way I an secure the (new) bowl.

I have read it is supposed to be approx 1/4" above the floor anyways.
Could I used a flange fitting to slip/glue inside the existing flange/is there such an item? The pipe's inside dia is approx 3.75" (so 4" pipe).

It appears, in my un-plumber knowledge, that the original flange was fitted outside (and glued I presume).

I don't have the confidence to replace the flange and I don't have the $ to have a pro do it.

    Help please?
    :(

The closet ring is installed on top of concrete, then they put floor tile around it. Usual installation. They sell metal ring that fits over damaged plastic closet ring. Put repair ring on top of the old one, secure it to concrete and attach toilet bolts as usual

They sell many different types, but this one is typical. You can purchase them in Home Depot or Lowe's

    Hope that helps

I'm going to try to use this thing and attach it to the old flange underneath w/ brass wood screws... I have no way to drill into concrete. The old flange is solidly attached to... Something... It wasn't budging one bit.I know it's not the pro way, but what's your opinion? It fits snug (w/o screws... Need to charge batteries) and is about 1/4" above the tile.Sioux Chief 4 in. Brass screws? Into what? Use a Tapcon screw set, they come with a drill bit.

Into the top of the old, broken flange.
It's secure/stable as heck, but apparently a smidge too high so Ima have to shim the commode a bit.

But for now, it's not wobbly unless you REALLY lean on it and it's not leaking after a few flushes.
Ofc Ima keep close eye on it.

This seems like I thought it is harder than is is but... I've just never done it so was kind of worried.

I appreciate ALL comments from you guys and thank you very much!!
Leave some more thought please, I do appreciate it!

Installation of your new flange looks nice. Bit worry, if it will hold your toilet steady. Make sure you caulk around the base of the toilet with silicone and let cure. Silicone itself will add a good grip to the installation

Also, the closet ring is ABS. You could put ABS glue between new and old ring, before you screw them together

Other than that - Good job !
