    4 wire plug to 3 wire appliance
    I have a 4 wire plug in the wall for my clothes dryer. How do I wire this into a 3 wire clothes dryer?

    Purchase a new four wire cord for your dryer. Code requires it to have both a neutral and a ground wire separate. ( plus the two hot ones ) If your not familiar with this you should call a electrician or the dryer repair company. NEC 250-140
