    I want to know how to record a post dated check as per ifrs

    Once a check is written and signed it is legal tender. And receipt of it, is receipt of payment.

    In fact the person receiving it, may merely deposit it, before the date if they want. Once signed, it may be deposited or cashed without waiting for the date on the check. Banks do and will cash and accept them postdated.
