Who signed off the Financial Statements?
Doing an assignment and the question mentioned above was asked. I am analyzing the annual report for a company (continental energy corporation) and I'm having trouble with knowing who signs off financial statements?

Does the company's accountants itself sign off these statements or is it the auditor?

Another question I have is within the auditor's report Dale Matheson Carr-Hilton Labonte LLP Chartered Accountants (DMCL) was shown on the independent auditor's report and I could not find a specific name; does this mean that this company was both the auditor and the ones who signed off the financial statements?

What is usual is that there be a statement by company officers, the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer and that there be an independent Auditor's report
