    I can't remember the name of this movie
    Love is not allowed and as the teens graduate one gets a special job he becomes a librarian and he stops taking his medicine to find out what he is truly missing out on. Later in the movie he takes a journey to the edge. Towards the end of the movie he actually jumps off the edge to discover there is land below the land he was living on.

    It sounds like a film adaptation of the book The Giver by Lois Lowry the link in MystMoonstrucks post isn't working for me. So here is a link to the wiki about the book (which has a link at the top to the film adaption)
