Where's the best place 2 do a Masters in Educational Technology?
    Greetings:

I’m now living in Qatar, but in about 7 years, I’ll B returning 2 Canada 2 retire at 65 yrs of age. When I return 2 Canada I hope 2 continue 2 work hopefully. I’m a teacher & I’d like 2 continue working in the Ed’al Field, either as a teacher, a classroom assistant (teacher and/or student) or any other similar position I was offered by an employer. However, I have been overseas 4 almost 20 years. I have spoken 2 people who have returned 2 Canada recently after many years overseas about what challenges they faced when they returned 2 Canada 2 retire & 2 return to the Canadian workforce. The obvious thing that has struck them while looking at job openings (ED & other) in Canada was their lack of techie skills. They didn’t know anything about, e.g. Noodle Tools or even how 2 submit a research paper electronically. They have advised me that they think if I were going 2 B looking 4 other work back in Canada eventually, doing IT courses would probably B helpful.

I’ve been told that a really good idea would B 2 do a Masters in Educational Technology or at least some type of Certificate in Ed‘al Tech. However, is this the best career advice or option for me? Also, even if correct, from what institution would I do this program from? I’m Canadian so I would definitely want this program 2 B accepted by employers in Canada so a Canadian-based program might B a good idea, but I’m very open 2 advice on this. Next, I live in the Middle East so an on-line component of the program would B ideal. However, I’d still want this program 2 have an in-class component with the courses probably completed in the summer or perhaps even here in Qatar at a North American or European university “satellite” campus. Thank you!

2 is to, two or Too depending in its use. B is actually spelled be.

If you are a teacher... you should be spelling them instead of texting them.

You are a teacher, but don't say where you got your degree(s) and whether or not you have kept up with what you need to teach in Canada.
I really don't think these ideas about Ed Tech mean much. A good teacher is worth his or her weight in gold, and you can take side courses in any kind of computer skills you want.
First think about where you want to live.
Second contact the Dept of Ed in that Province about teaching requirements.
Third, start taking computer courses now!

All those 2s and Bs are distracting, and I can't believe that they shaved any time off your time typing. Your writing has a lot of redundancy in it, and general wordiness. All together it doesn't make you sound like a teacher... so I'd be more concerned about your ability to present yourself in a job interview.

I agree with Joy. Figure out which province in Canada you're moving to, and then inquire as to what you need in order to teach there.

I also agree about the 2's and B's. Kids today are bad enough with the text talk, many can't spell at all because of texting. As a teacher you should be setting a good example by using real words, and not abbreviations.

I found your post very painful to read, especially since you claim to be a teacher, and should be able to write a well written post. I have to say, if I were hiring, and I saw this post, I would not be adding you to my list of possible hires for a teaching position.

I hope your resume looks better than this.

    Good luck.

I've never seen a teacher write like this. You need to brush up on your English skills before attempting to get a masters. If you can prove yourself as an excellent teacher with technology skills, you may not need a masters in technology.
