    Am I in Labor?
    Hey,
Just a question out there for you mothers... I have had two other kids, but both labor was different. The first one, My water just broke and I was off to the hospital. I never had contractions. The second one, I had mild contractions all day and then they just got really bad. And so I knew.
This time, I'm not sure if I'm in labor?? I am waiting for a call back from the doc. But I have been having sharp back pain and with it comes feeling VERY Nausious... Is that labor?? Has this happened to any one before?
    Thanks,
    Tink

It very well could be labor. But it is hard to diagnose this over the internet as I am sure you know.

How far along are you and when are you due?

I am 37 weeks, due the 30th of April.

I'm sure the doc will advise to come in and check it out, once they call back. But I just thought I'd see what any one had to say? See if this happened to any one else.

Tink how often is this happening? Is it constant? Intermittant?

This very well could be back labor.

If intermittant, how far apart, if you can indeed tell.

It started to be a few times this morning. Nothing consistent... Then for the last few hours it's about every 20 to 30 minutes apart. I'm starting to get real annoyed with how nausious I feel every time!! I wondered if it was back labor cause I never felt it before. I've been looking on the net and found out 37 weeks isn't to early!!

No, 37 weeks is not too early. Considering that detecting due dates is not an exact science you could very well be due this week.

When you had your last appointment did the doc say you were dilated at all?

They haven't checked to see if I've dialated. I found that a little weird.. but they did think I was going in to preturm labor around 28 weeks. They checked then, but not since?? And at that time I was not dialated at all.

Hmmm, very interesting. For at least the last month they should check every time. Especially if they already felt you were going into preterm labor earlier.

Well, let's just sit here until the doc calls you back. Should be soon right?

Let's keep your mind occupied until then.

Are you having a boy, girl or don't you know?

I hope they call back soon!
I am having a boy! We haven't come up with a name that has stuck yet. So I guess if I'm in labor I better get to thinking about names! =0)

Well, yeah, I think the time is right to come up with the name. LOL

My sister, though, never had a name for her kiddos until they were born. She did not know what she was having.

You have 2 other kids right? Boys girls?

Here's a pretty neat web-site with different names. Could help to pass the time before the call.

Sorry, hope I didn't burst in here. :o

Wish you all the best and you are in the best hands with J_9.

Oh this is exciting! You are two weeks ahead of me, I am just now 35 weeks. I had terrible back labor with my first. Things that helped were taking lots of warm showers, having lots of counter pressure applied to my lower back with massage from my hubby, and also being on all fours helped to relieve some of the pressure. Good luck hun!

I have two other boy's... So coming up with a third boy name for some reason has been hard. Thanks for the suggestions Allheart. =0) Daniel was a thought because it is my father in laws first name. And my husbands middle name. So we thought to pass it down as a middle or first?
The ones we've likes are Kasen, Ryelan, Brayden?
