Using WORD - I have AOL
When I write a story on Word, the first word of each line is capitalized and
I haven't been able to fix that. So I type a few pages and have to go back
And delete the first letter in each line and make it a small letter rather
    Then a capital one.

Can you tell me how to discontinue this. Thank you

Okay, you want to stop the program from automatically capitalizing your sentences.

    Check your auto-correct settings.

For Word: Under the File menu look for Options. Then Proofing. Then Auto-correct settings. Uncheck "Capitalize First letter of sentence".

I tried to follow your advice but I could not find File menu anywhere.

It should be on the top right of your screen in the toolbar, and it may be a gear wheel looking symbol.

Thank you very much for trying... still can't find it. I'll just delete one at a time

On my version of Microsoft Word, the File Menu/Tab is on the left side of the toolbar (at the top of the window.)

Are you using a different program than Microsoft Word?

OMG... Just when I was giving up I found it... I saw the word proofing (don't ask me how I
Found it... ) and then I saw the auto correct or the captolizing of the first word
You stuck with me... and I stuck with it. Thank you so much. I do a lot of
Writing and deleting each first letter on each line was a pain.
