    Heating Issue
I'm having a little trouble with my furnace. The furnace will not go on unless I move the thermostat to the on position. When I switch the thermostat back to auto the heater will shut off within a minute or two. I do not believe it cycles down... the furnace blows heat for that minute or two and then Shuts down. It may also be worth noting that air conditioner works as it should.

I have a Lennox electric furnace model CB26UH-030-R-230-1

Remove the thermostat & connect the wires on the R & W terminals together. If the furnace then fires the problem is the stat.

Grady, thanks for tip. I tried that and it fired up once, but I could not duplicate it. A couple of times I heard the furnace try to kick in but it did not. I have never heard it do that. I think I will try changing the stat and take it from there.

I don't know if your furnace has one or not but look for a blinking LED (usually red), count the blinks & look inside the blower compartment door for the key to the blink code.

With an electric furnace it could be the sequencer. Be careful working with the sequencer, some Lennox units have 240VAC sequencers.

So I changed out the stat and all seems to be working well for now. Thank you very much!
