    ETG
Hi my name is Randy and I'm kind of nervous right now because I had an ETG test, 13 hours from last drink. But the thing is I only had literally 3 sips of wine to taste. So I'm wondering if that will even show up. Please I really need some answers, thank you.

3 sips? Your sip may be smaller than my sip. A sip is subjective. At 13 hours you most likely will not pass. Take this as a lesson learned.

Had 3 sips of 14 hours prior to EtG
I'm 160 pounds 5'9 average metabolism and very active. Wondering 3 sips of wine will even show, like I said it was about 14 hours from last sip. Please if anyone can give me some insight that would be relieving

Do you want the truth, or someone to tell you what you want to hear?

Fact is, you can fail an ETG by using mouthwash. That's without even swallowing it, just swishing and spitting. You can fail an ETG by using cough syrup with alcohol in it, or hand sanitizer. That's why you're told to stay away from those products when you start undergoing ETG testing.

What do you consider a sip? For me a sip is small. For you a sip may be more like a gulp.

Either way you ingested alcohol, and at 14 hours you're most likely not going to pass this test.

Sadly we can only guess. You might get lucky, but based on tons of research done by professionals, you should fail. If you don't, I'd take it as a blessing and learn your lesson so you never have to worry again.

To be exact it was probably like 3 shots of wine, and why did dr bill say that one beer or equivalent takes 13 to 18 hours to eliminate ETG. And also I use alcohol wipes and sanitizer exessively every day. I'm a medical assistant that's what We use to clean most of our equipment not to mention I use hand snitizer like 20 times a day. I'm screwed, wel. They all now what my profession is maybe that will help. So you still think now way in hell huh?

They ha never instructed me to stay away from hand sanitizers and wipes, However, they did say stay clear from NyQuil and mouth wash before performing a PBT that's about it

    Three sips of wine/14 hours/ ETG/250 C/O
Who thinks one ounce of wine would show up on a 250 C/O ETG. Approximately 14 hours, I know it's going to produce the ETG but is it enough. Aaaaannnnndddd goooooo

Randy, bottom line we can only guess. Our guess is based on expert opinion, not only our own, but that of many professionals that have studied ETG testing and the cutoff. Even a sip of wine can show on an ETG, just like using mouthwash, or cough syrup, or hand sanitizer, or anything that contains alcohol, can produce a positive on an ETG, especially after only 14 hours. The cutoff is between 60-80 hours according to professionals that have studied this extensively.

In other words, you shouldn't pass. But will you? No one online can tell you, only the results of the test will give you the answer you're looking for.

Yes it is, so you guys are saying I would fail anyway even if I didn't even consume alcohol, like I said I'm a medical . I work in a medical clinic I'm around alcohol and using it all day long, I didn't know you can fail that way.Can it reach beyond 250 C/O, if that's so I do have good argument, they all now where I work. So what go think Talaniman and where the hell is Odin?

Your chances are 50/50. Either you pass or you won't. No one wants to guess and deprive you of one of the most valuable lessons you will ever learn, so just chill and wait and see. Plus we have no clue about your habits, or your environment, what you did last week, or anything else about you.

A guy that even sips wine 13 hours before his FIRST big test is supposed to sweat bullets!

We don't know where Odinn is. We are all volunteers here and take time out of our busy lives to answer questions in our free time. He may be spending the holidays with his family.

I'm s family man used to be a big drinker, I've been on this program for about a year and only drank a few times. The last time I actually got drunk was two weeks ago. I do smoke a lot of weed I recently just got a medical green card, at least they can't with me on that😈
So what do think talaniman should I stop using alcohol wipes and sanitizer will really pick it, I'm almost more worried about that pending on what Alty said. Tell what u think. Thanks man I do appreciate Your time.

You don't have to use any alcohol products, and can wear gloves at work. What program are you in? I can tell you straight up, I ain't buying that weed card crap, not one friggin bit.

You keep digging a deeper hole. First it was a couple of sips, then "drunk a couple of weeks ago" and now MJ. You work in a medical clinic? What one, I want to avoid it.

First of all ma0641 I was telling talaniman the last time I ingested a significant amount alcohol was two weeks ago almost three now. Last Thursday is when I had those few sips. I work for a chiro clinic and the docs don't believe in gloves cause they think it intimidates the patients, kindof like the white coat syndrome, that's why most Docs don't wear the white lab coats no more. I live in Alaska and they just started this new program called 24/7 I blow twice a day and pee three times a week, there a non profit org. Pretty much a bunch of bounty hunters and all medical clinics use alcohol to sanitize sod asepsis reasons there's no going around that. Come to think of it every time I pee for those guys the officer and I both use the mounted hand sanitizer. So talaniman do u think I would fail even if I didn't have those few sips. Thanks for your time I appreciate it. Oh and about the pot I had a gastric issue they had to take part of my intestine out, I had no appitite so the prescribed me MJ and it work wonderfully.

You will just have to wait and see and STOP DRINKING period! No way around THAT either. I highly suggest you recognize the difficulty of your situation, and rise to the challenge.

A week, a month, who knows? Waiting is the hard part. Chill, and do better. Its not easy but don't panic, and jump out of your skin, and do something even more stupid. Expect another test and be prepared for it. I cannot see not being able to use latex gloves around alcohol related tasks, and having your own non alcoholic had cleaner, mouth wash, or hair products, working in a medical clinic.
