Asthma isn't generally something you cure but a disease that you manage and control through medication. You'll always have it, if you go off your medication you'll get asthma attacks again.
You make weird sounds when you sleep. And? Everyone does at points. IF this is really concerning you should talk to your doctor to get a referral to a specialist. Is it impacting you or your partner's life? Is this why it is concerning?
I respectfully disagree. I, for one, had terrible asthma as a child. I haven taken medication in 30+ years, and I'm a smoker. My son had asthma. He is now 12 and hasn't been medicated for 9 years. One can indeed grow out of asthma.
It sounds as though the OPs asthmatic condition has changed to a condition of allergies, or possibly post-nasal drip. Only a doctor will know for sure.
