Need help with hooking blu-ray player to wifi
I am trying to reconnect my Magnavox MBP 5120 blu-ray player to my Linksys routers wifi (which I have done before without trouble) and I am getting DHCP cannot be acquired. I have change the IP Address to manual on the blu-ray player without changing the IP address itself and no error. I have checked the routers settings and DHCP is enabled. Is there a way to fix this?

Have you tried rebooting your router ?
Failing that just set a static address within the normal range of your router, but at the upper end to ensure no conflicts.

Can the blu ray "see" your router ?
If so then a correctly formatting static address will work.
Normally in the form:
IP: 192.168.0.x
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.x
DNS servers
home: 192.168.0.x (your router)
External: 8.8.8.8 (Google)
Just need to sub x with your own information.

It sees it
Just will not connect
This is the error
Wireless router settings are incomplete
Please use Advance settings to complete your setup
Ok
Easy
State: Testing...
DHCP cannot be acquired
Please confim connection or set it with the manual operation
Then press OK
I have done all that

So it can't see the DHCP function, so manual (static) operation is required, as detailed above.
