    Trimethoprim + dairy?
    Im taking
    Trimethoprim and was wondering why you cannot be in direct sunlight and eat dairy products?

    My text doesn't say anything about not taking it with dairy products, so that one baffles me.

    As for direct sunlight, it can make you more susceptible to sunburns.

    I am taking trimethoprim along with 2 other meds. One of the other meds suggests taking with milk. I am going to be taking this drug for a long time maybe forever as a proplactic. I am not giving up dairy products,nor was I instructed to. Just sunlight:(
