    Pest Control
I also have carpet beedles in my bed, mostly crawling on my legs and feet, they are also in my shoes. They are under my desk where I have my computer. Have had my house sprayed 4 times to no avail. They are driving me crazy.
I put flea and tick powder in and underside of couch, in baseboards. It seemed to kill off a lot of them. But there are more.
They are also in my car. I spray my legs with windex at night when I feel them. Also use peppermint oil on my legs. They don't like either.
They also crawl in my clothes.
No one else feels them when they come to visit. I feel like I am a host.
Sometimes I feel they are living on my legs. But I guess I could be wrong. Don't know. I also have bites.. red bumps on my chest arms and legs that don't seem to go away for a long time. Try sweeping the floor every day and you can see if it's the same every day.
Good luck to all of us

I have opened a new thread for your post, so we can deal with your situation rather than Wayne's.

First, are you certain they are carpet beetles? Did the person that came to spray actually see any to make an identification? The reason I ask is that some carpet beetles are about the same size, shape, and coloration as bedbugs. The rest of your description sounds a LOT like bedbugs.

I had two exterminators... one sprayed three times and the other sprayed once.
They are not bedbugs. They were identified as carpet beedles, but in the end they said everyone has them. I know this is true, but they are laying eggs which I am trying to vaccuming and sweeping. I don't have that many bites anymore. Maybe it's a lull before the storm. I know carpet beedles are not supposed to bite. Its probably an allergic reaction.

I think I mentioned that they are in my clothes, shoes, bed, leather couch which are all new. Threads are pulled out of all above.
I am also finding them in my car. Not sure If I will ever get rid of them.
I have tried to solve the problem with flea and tick powder, seems pretty potent. I believe I have killed a lot of them. I think all bugs in the basement are dead. But its not healthy for me to inhale the powder otherwise I would have it all over the place.

I had one pest control co. tell me they would spray for fleas ( they were supposed to send to entomologist but fellow had retired) as I mentioned it seemed to work to some extent. I don't know if I should get them to spray or not.
If anyone comes to visit they don't feel anything. I am so sensitive to these insects.
Have taken allergy pills, but doesn't seem to help.
If you have any ideas it would be appreciated.

Everyone doesn't have them. I don't have them nor does anyone else I know. So that right away cast doubt of thier knowledge in my mind.

Carpet beetles are fairly ubiquitous, but it sounds like you have a fairly severe infestation. I still think a dermatologist would be your best diagnostic tool for the 'bites.'

Normally a proper flea treatment will get insecticide to all the areas carpet beetles inhabit. One place that's completely inaccessible that beetles can survive in is in bird's nests just outside the living spaces, such as inside chimneys or under gutters. It won't hurt to have the outside of your place inspected.
