    Employer kept withholding money after garnish released
    My employer didn't stop my garnishment after they received release from IRS! What do wedo to get our money back.. and do we get interest? And from who?

    What did your company say about it? Most send the funds to a holding account and pay out quarterly so if it is caught inside the payment period then they should still have your money. If it has been sent to the IRS already then you will have to call and ask them what the procedure is.

    Our new tax lady who's an idiot found this out.. over a year ago it was released our company got the release then

    If it has been over a year, it is likely the money has been sent to the IRS who you should contact to see about getting a refund. More than likely, you will need to submit Form 843 to request the refund.
