    Is it worth anything or is it counterfeit?
    I have a August 1 st 1862 one dollar confederate bill with series 268 #40617. Is it worth anything or is it counterfeit?

    It isn't that it is counterfeit, and can't tell you that cause can't see it; the serial number makes no difference after this long time because confederate money lost its value when the south lost the war. It is probably only worth intrinsic value to a collector.
