    Fishing with cooked octopus
    I like to fish everywhere I can and I want to know if I fish with cooked
    octopus
    will I catch something good?

    Generally, you don't cook bait. Cooking octopus, I would imagine, would remove the oils and such that you want to get into the water when using it for bait.

Does anyone knows what is the best way to soften octopus when cooking? Method I use is beating the octopus with a stick or a piece of flat wood, then boil it in plenty of water until soft. Discard the water and cut the meat up for further cooking e.g. in curries, salads etc.. :rolleyes:
