ETG test 90 hours after BAC reaches zero
Hello. I messed up after a month of sobriety. I don't know if amount of alcohol consumed and rate matters, I seem to be gettting conflicting information on this subject. I will state all information to be sure.

I am a female, 5'5 weighing 180 lbs. I consumed a pint (16 ozs) of 80 proof alcohol yeterday in the span of about 4 hours. I finished last drink by 3 pm. That's a Thursday. I have to take an ETG test on Tuesday at 10:30 am. This is about 114 hours from time of last consumption. If we figure BAC reaching zero, then it will be sortly over 90 hours from the point at which my BAC would reach zero, I believe.

I am in general good health. I had been drinking moderately for the past couple of years about 3 - 4 times a week. I got into trouble because of it though and am now in a program. As I said, I had a month of sobriety before this date and have not had any alcohol exposure since. Nor do I plan on it! I have been hydrating heavily and plan on continuing to do so. Am very worried. Please advise as to liklihood of passing this test!

Dr. Bill is not here. Hydrating only dilutes urine and they factor that in. What happens if you fail?

You have a good chance of passing unless you dilute.

Darn. Dr Bill seems like the expert. I am not planning on dilluting anything. I have until Tuesday to test. Figure flushing as much water through my body for the next 72 hours can't hurt. What happens if I fail? Nothing good.

    That is dilution.

I've only drank 4 pints of water since 3 pm yesterday. For me, that is a lot of water, but actually only a normal amount. I will try and drink a couple more pints of water today (Friday) and maybe 4 pints tomorrow. (Saturday) This will leave all of Sunday and Monday for normal regulation of urine before my test on Tuesday.
As I say, my idea of a lot of water is not the average person's. My doctor is constantly harping on my to drink at least 4 pints of water per day anyway.
I am surprised, given the frequency that this kind of question is asked, that there are nit more answers to my detailed question.
I realize that having 90 plus hours after BAC reaches zero should get me in the clear, but I am worried because my BAC had been rather high (probably. 22-.25).
One thing for sure: I learned my lesson. Nothing is worth these kinds of risks.

There are 2 main reasons why there isn't more as far as answers to your question on this site....

    1) Nobody here wants to give someone an answer that will help them cheat at a court ordered test...some of the questions asked are worded in such a way that you know the person is looking to cheat.

    2) Every person is different. Some people will pass a test 30 hours later and then you have some that are pushing it at 80 hours. Cut-off level also is a factor.

The fact is...there is not one answer that fits everyone.

We often wonder why people send themselves through all those risks when the stakes are so high. Waiting for result when you know you have crossed a line in the first place is so totally unnecessary.

Isn't it easier just to get with the program and do what it takes to pass? If not, the program isn't the problem, the person is. At least you have learned a valuable lesson, so relax, you are ahead of most.
