Real life experience re: nail EtG. Occasional use?
I know fingernails CAN detect alcohol by EtG back 90 days, but someone with real life experience with the test, please: occasional use? Like two drinks every other week?

It will detect of course, the issue is what levels are allowed in the testing. Because we are exposed to various items that will cause some levels, there is a point level allowed. And how your body does.

Plus of course, if you are drinking and not suppose to, most people are just turned in by a friend or famlly member who gets mad at them.

Sorry to not live in that kind of world, but family and friends not a problem. I am not an alcoholic. Being followed for single episode of hydrocodone innocently used but reported by coworker as "sleepy". Subsequent surveillance includes zero tolerance for everything including social alcohol on time off. I find this draconian and feel no guilt wondering about occasional drink not being detected. Have no idea what limits are or are usual as so little really scientific info available. All "info" is lab propaganda. Your answer--thanks for trying, by the way--was equally non-specific. Next?

If you have all the answers...then why are you asking us? Seriously...think about it. How does someone innocently take Hydrocodone? Incidently... the limits without a prescription are zero on it. If it was one pill they would know it...if you took more than one over a period of time, they would know that too. It would be detected inthe testing. Sorry but your attitude ozzing out of that last response indicates there is a lot more to this than you claim.

What do you do?....you don't consume any of the prohibitied substances for the period you are being subjected to....you then easily pass the tests...and when its over then you can do whatever you want again. Its not a lifetime. If there is no real addiction here...it should be very easy to do.

It is called respect. First for yourself, and then for the legal system.

You were found guilty of a crime, not using these even "social" is a punishment, you do not want to suffer the result of your illegal act. ( not a wonder with your attitude)

The facts are, drinking a coke at a social event is just as much fun, if you are really going to have fun. Using drinking or drugs for fun, merely means one is not able to socially interact without help from something.

What's the problem with not doing anything that will show up on a test? You can be resentful it changes your lifestyle and fun, but that has to be better in the short term than losing a job, and going to jail. Pass your tests and stop trying to cheat because its you cheating yourself in the long run.

Scientifically total abstinence from ingesting anything that questions your adherence to these standard imposed by an outside source is the best way to pass a test with flying colors especially if employment, or freedom is involved. If you rather have your fun, take a chance. I highly suggest you take this a lot more serious and leave your political leanings out of this and do as you have been instructed. Do things you need to pass, and you don't have to worry about flunking, or standards, politics, or cheating.
