Please HELP! Windows Worms Doors Cleaner...
    Hi to every one!
I would like to know if I have my computer set to be the most safer possible, so I downloaded Windows Worms Doors Cleaner and took a look at the resault, and I found the following ports opened. Is this bad?

(save to disk for better resolution)

I made some ShieldsUP! tests that resault like all Stealth, and this should mean that its allright!

What do I have to do with Windows Worms Doors Cleaner?
    Should I secure every port?
I use file sharing in a lan and use to update my software via auto-update.
I use a router and don't know wich port must or must not be closed.

    Please help.
    Thank you.

I took a look at your screen shot. On the screen shot there is a link to Microsoft security bulletins about those ports. You might want to read them and then decide whether to close them or not. Of the three, the only obvious close is NetBios. Unless you are running a peer to peer home network with Win 9x machines, you probably don't need this open. I'm not sure about DCom and RPC, the MS bulletins should explain.

I'm confused. If you don't know anything about this, then why post an response? Hoping for an explanation.

Thank you very much for every thing.

The fact is that with ShieldsUP! I get a full OK from every test.
I just would like to know why about all this.

    Thank you.

    Fred,
I'm not going to fight with you. I asked a simple question, no harassment. Instead of answering it, you attacked me. Nuff said.

    Pirata,
I can't add anything more then I already said. Did you follow the links and read the Microsoft articles as I suggested?

Yes... all those patchs are already installed as I have SP2.

With ShieldsUP! I figure to be all safe, but my machine seams to have some open ports.
I think that with the net I am secure because I have a router, and those open ports in the Windows Worms Doors Cleaner are about my single machine abot my home lan.

    Is this possible?

First, Not all ports are dangerous. You need to have some open ports otherwise your machine couldn't communicate with other machines. Those links should explain what those ports are used for.

If Shields Up is saying you are safe, then don't be concerned. You have some protection provided by the NAT done by your router. You should also have a firewall. But you don't have to have every port closed.

    Thank you very much.
I'll read more carefully Microsoft's articles to understand better if those ports must nead to be closed or not.

    Thank you again.
