    I'm sure it varies by laptop manufacturer and model. Looking at the power supply for my Lenovo it says it's rated for 90 watts, so I would guess that the laptop probably draws around 50 on average. Here's more data - it's a site with a list of laptops and their power usage: https://secure.www.upenn.edu/computi...er-power-usage You ask about power required for one hour: actually power times time equals energy; to find the energy consumption in units of watt-hours take the wattage and multiply by 1 hour.
