    Green card holder claiming mortgage interest deductions
    I got my green card ln 2013 November. I bought house in may 2013. Can I claim mortgage interest deductions

    For sure if you are married and file a joint return.

    Otherwise, you can only claim for the months you are a resident under a dual-status return.
