There are stock tips, regular time, rest, queit, but personally I find we each have our own best study method. I like to listen to 70's music, drink coffee and take a walk every hour while study.

I will note it will not work for most people, but I am working on my masters and my last 30 university hours is all "A"s. it works for me. I could never study at a desk in the quiet.

Flash cards work well for many people. I have my students put all vocabulary words on index cards and then punch a hole in them. Put them on a metal ring and take them with you. Any free moments, flip through them.
