    How do I get my name on my sons birth certificate,he was born in Georgia,now in okla
    My son was born in Georgia.now he and his mother live in Oklahoma and they want to put me on the birth certificate

    I'm assuming you aren't with the mother any longer.

    It would be smart to have a DNA test to establish paternity beyond any doubt. Lots of guys have been shocked to find answers they didn't expect.

    For an answer to OP's question, he should contact Georgia Vital Statistics (or whatever they call it there).

    You have to contact the local court house or the Vital Statistics Office of the state to get your birth certificate.

    Umm did you actually read the question? The question was whether the birth certificate can be amended to add the father's name. Not how to obtain a copy.
