How to live with cherry wood cabinets in kitchen?
I moved into a house about a year ago. I LOVE a lot about the house, but the previous owners and I have different taste when it comes to finishes (paint, knobs, woods etc... ) The floor is cement and stained orange and the kitchen cabinets are a very orange cherrywood. I personally prefer neutral bases (browns, whites, greys, ash etc... ) and accent colors. Due to budget constraints, I have a choice to either stain the floors dark espresso brown or paint the cabinets. Obviously the floors have to go, but I have NEVER seen a picture that I liked in all my months of searching of a kitchen with cherrywood cabinets. People always pair it with yellow AND it's always too warm, too woody, AND too heavy feeling, in my opinion. Anyone have any tips, advice, wall color suggestions, or links to photos where there is a more neutral, sophisticated, and or airy vibe?

    Heeeeelp :)

P.S. For the sake of understanding my taste and desired look, I'll say it's like restoration hardware's vibe since many people have heard of them.
