If you place some sodium fluoride in water, and boil it, do fluoride ions react with hydrogen to form hydrofluoric acid? (I believe they don't because if I place sodium chloride in wáter and boil it, vapor is pure water, and sodium chloride remains combined, until all water disappears and SALT is left, solid)

This would be the ideal balanced equation that would yield hydrofluoric acid, but I said ideal, so I think you are right and all you would get is this..

Na^+ and F^- ions surrounded by water until the water evaporates.

Perhaps a chemist will come along with a definite answer.
