    Generac 7550exl won't start
    Can't start generator by electric start or pull cord. Changed spark plug, charged battery, loosened nut on carburetor trying to drain, very little drainage.
    Fuel feed open , does not seem to be getting. Motor does not catch.

    Hi,
    Sounds like it was stored too long with fuel in the carb, it has oxidized and the carb needs cleaning.

    Thanks crigby Thought that too. Access to the carb. Is difficult. Stopped short of disconnecting for fear of fouling things up. Any way around that?

    Hi,
    Brand and model of engine? Briggs now owns Generac, but not all engines used are theirs.
