    Asd
I am a 48 year old woman in Florida who has recently been to a heart specialist and he discovered I have an asd. 4mm. I have some chest pain but not all the time. I have always had a heart murmur but just recently I have days when I can feel it every few seconds. Is that a bad thing? The specialist I went to said I don't need to have anything done unless I get worse? What is worse a heart attack or stroke? Should I look for a second opinion? I feel good some days and bad some days. Don't know what to do?

If you have questions, you should contact your doctor. If you aren't satisfied with the answers, seek a second or even third opinion.
