So, my parents have just spilt up. My mums leaving and my dads unwell so he carnt pay for the mortgage/bills each month - are we able to change everything to my name so that I can pay the mortgage each month and the other bills? I'm 18 and work in a pub, but I would still be able to pay the money my mum does for the mortgage, a few other bills.. so, are we able to change it all into my name? And would they lower the monthly cost of the mortgage if they knew our situation?

I'm guessing you are in the U.K. Right?

Why would you need to change it to your name just to pay it? I don't believe you need to do that.

And I doubt that the mortgage lender will be willing to reduce the monthy payments because of your situation. But for all I know there might be a government program to assist you in making the payments. Check into that.
