    Immigration query
    Hi,

    I am currently on H1B visa and my current contract is getting over by end of June. I have a new offer in hand, but the new employer is firm on doing the H1 transfer in the regular procedure rather than premium processing. I came to know that in case of regular processing, it will take around 4 weeks to get the receipt itself.

    1) What is the usual time taken for H1 transfer.
    2) What will happen in my case if the H1 transfer receipt takes so long.
    3) Do I have time in the U.S considering that my H1 transfer is in progress.
